Pasta with Pesto Cream Sauce (Pasta al Pesto con Salsa Cremosa)

🍝 Ingredients
400g pasta (penne, spaghetti, or fusilli)
Salted water for boiling
For the pesto cream sauce:
3. 100g basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)
4. 200ml heavy cream
5. 2 tbsp olive oil
6. 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
7. 1 garlic clove, minced
8. Salt and pepper to taste
9. Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Cook the pasta:
Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.Prepare the pesto cream sauce:
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in the basil pesto and cook for 1-2 minutes.Make the creamy sauce:
Add heavy cream to the pesto and mix well. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper.Combine pasta and sauce:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy pesto sauce. Add a little reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency, if needed.Serve:
Top with grated Parmesan and fresh basil leaves. Serve immediately.
