๐ Prep Time: 5 minutes
๐ณ Cook Time: 15 minutes
๐ฝ๏ธ Serves: 2
๐งพ Ingredients:
-
200g fettuccine
-
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
-
Salt, to taste
-
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
-
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
๐ณ Instructions:
-
Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the fettuccine until al dente. Reserve a small amount of pasta water before draining.
-
In a large pan, melt the butter over low to medium heat.
-
Add the heavy cream and stir for 3โ4 minutes until it warms and slightly thickens (do not boil).
-
Add the drained pasta directly to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
-
Stir in the Parmesan cheese gradually, mixing continuously until smooth and creamy.
-
If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it.
-
Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
-
Serve hot with extra Parmesan and optional parsley on top.
๐ก Tips:
-
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
-
Avoid overheating the cream to prevent curdling.
-
Fettuccine is traditional, but tagliatelle or linguine also work well.
